“Enormous & irreparable damage"
RFU financial loss & bonus backlash intensifies as 3 ex chairmen call for mass resignations https://t.co/YF5qHvGbJL
@JamesBoatman3 A union is the action of joining together or the fact of being joined together, the CCU will bring the clubs together thus forming a union.
@JamesBoatman3 We are NOT a competing Union. 50:50 split refers to the funding in the game. 50 to professional rugby and 50 to community. Recently Francis Baron (former RFU Chief Exec) stated that the funding was closer now to 70/30 in favour of pro rugby.
News from yesterday. @ccusport re-launching next week with seven-point manifesto. They’re aiming to be represented on RFU council and hope to be staffed on a full-time basis. Fair to say that anger over Bill Sweeney pay is seriously high. https://t.co/Zg6ziiUaXh
More from The Ruck — which is out now! — on tackle height, and the shambles therein.
Here are a few thoughts on it…

So if we are wrong @Scienceofsport Ross Tucker (employed by @WorldRugby) the best place to tackle is the green zone? Sternum to waist. Waist to ankle is a lightly less deeper red (you call it orange). Perhaps @EnglandRugby could now let us know why the change from that?
Bill Sweeney and the RFU have succeeded in rousing almost 300 clubs into open rebellion – their position is perilous

✍🏼 @owenslot“In this single most important change since the game went pro, it had lost the argument before it had started. There was no consultation, no warning, no explanation, no data, no breakdown about how the game would change & how we’d implement it.”https://t.co/xAvkKM7SPt
Excellent point made by Oliver Brown in the Telegraph this morning.
How can the RFU be trusted to differentiate between the sternum and the waist when it can’t tell its arse from its elbow?
“Yes, we’re looking to make sure that we are implementing a lower tackle height across all parts of the game,” Gilpin said. “How that’s actually implemented is slightly different in the community game to the elite game.” Alan Gilpin CEO @WorldRugby via @TelegraphSport
“What that looked like on the mannequin” this is from the women in rugby coach day (Friday) at Welford Rd. Is this the coaching all clubs will receive? “We are looking to make contact with this side area” yes mate that’s the hip and that’s hard as well.
Can we assume even a level 9, 3rd team player (sorry guys) at Old Rubberdoinans brings his knees up as well….and might actually break into a job. How does that look?
There is a full video we are putting on Facebook (twitter doesn’t allow long videos) not blaming the coaches but this is just tosh. We are also importing 2000 mannequins so clubs can have their own to help with tackle law changes 🙈
