@JesseO007@triffic_stuff_@ClarkeMicah Unfortunately brain chemistry changes even after a single use in some cases resulting compulsive use. There are many studies of brain scans showing this but here is one that details some of the physical changes in the brain drugs can cause https://t.co/z4dKok16hw
@JakeWSimons To be fair, the Britons have been welcoming invaders since 410; they invited the Angles and Saxons to protect them and after seeing how ‘soft’ they were those very saviors were happy to take Britain for themselves.
@EthanBenard I’ve been where you are a number of times and gained and lost hundreds of pounds. Whatever else you do it’s really important to be kind to yourself and try to not be judgmental. It’s hard but there are some strategies..
@EthanBenard 10,000 steps is a completely arbitrary number. There are some studies that say 7-8k steps per day help with health outcomes. But most importantly doing something that you can accomplish consistently and build over time.
@EthanBenard I’ve been close to where you are and something that helped me in the early days of getting active is a slight reframing to be thankful that you get the opportunity to move your body. It may seem silly but feeling like it’s a gift to be able to move versus a chore helped me.
@JesseCoxboro@EYakoby The Britons were not part of the ruling class. They were mostly pushed into Cumbria/Southern Scotland, Wales and Cornwall. There was some assimilation mostly via rape and pillaging. Very little of the Britons (Celt) language survived and the Saxons, Angles and Friesians ruled.
@gypsiesheather1@merrieenglander When we paint everyone with the same brush we potentially are closing ourselves off to voices that are sensible within these groups. People across the political aisles say bad things and we should hold them to account equally.
@IanCarrollShow I don’t see the third option of recognizing Israel, living in peace and building a prosperous and democratic society free of extremism and Islamic fundamentalism. Probably the easiest to choose and at the same time the least likely.
@JillianMichaels Most of the people who are ‘just asking questions’ aren’t public health professionals, virologists or medical experts. The data is conclusive that vaccines benefits outstrip any risks for most people. Yet, lay people drive the narrative by quoting non peer reviewed sources.
@FreeAgen_@kirawontmiss Normally it’s a combination of things. There is usually trauma suffered in childhood/adolescence, no support available in dealing with trauma, food becomes a substitute drug to provide comfort which leads to addiction.
@pavyg If you take a sleeping aid for years that has been manufactured at a medically certified facility where the batch was tainted by the manufacturer (which they admitted to) then by definition you ARE a victim. No playing required.
