Conscious Design is not a concept that we invented at Conscious Design Media. People have done Conscious Design for hundreds of years, but why has it never been a main-stream focus? It’s about time. https://t.co/9In7ZWA6v1
"The emissions from building materials and home furnishings is a big problems. But there is also the "secondary emissions" when these fumes reacting together. The compound effect of the latter can be even more poisonous than the former," says @humanspaceman_
Made by Choice furniture is made of wood, which is naturally antibacterial. Wood improves indoor air quality & balances humidity. There is also the psychological side of seeing natural wood. Read more about their human-centric design: https://t.co/DIdWoCT0el
It's possible to create architecture that has a positive impact on the wellbeing of the people who end up using the building. We are Conscious Design Media want to find them. #humancentereddesign#consciousdesign#architecture
Besides an interest in visual design, we are interested in finding scalable solutions to the "sustainability crisis." We want to make sustainable design available to the masses. Sustainable design is available for all when it is also affordable for all. #sustainability

Our hope at @cdnqmedia is that sustainable design will become more mainstream. There is a growing trend toward interest and consciousness of sustainability matters, which will eventually lead to increasing demand for truly sustainable materials, buildings, and furnishings.
"All building materials and furniture are more or less full of chemicals and poisons these days. This in itself is alarming, but even more problems arise when these chemicals evaporate and start to react together indoors," says @humanspaceman_#IAQ#indoorairquality
At Conscious Design Media, we want to give sustainable designers and design companies a platform to get their stories heard. We work together with Terraform Global, a UK-based company that has created a standard to prove designer furniture's sustainability impact.

The ‘Healthy Building’ Surge Will Outlast the Pandemic
Because of Covid-19, developers are realizing that incorporating health concerns in a building's design isn’t just a luxury—it’s a necessity.

New offices and commercial properties will have to install better ventilation systems to help to reduce the spread of airborne diseases such as Covid-19, under government proposals.

Agree! This has always been an important issue -- one I wrote about in my September 2020 @simonschuster WELLNESS BY DESIGN book -- but it's even more important now with an airborne virus driving a global pandemic. #IAQ#indoorairquality
An entire industry is devoted to outdoor living & encouraging you to spend more time outdoors because indoor air is not good for you. We love nature too, but most of our lives are lived indoors.
Making our indoor environment healthy is our mission.

Typically, the methods used in building construction and furniture manufacturing ignore many factors that would influence indoor air. We need to protect humans from harmful chemicals and create change. The first step is raising awareness of what impacts #indoorairquality
"I have been on the lookout for new solutions in the Indoor Air Quality space for the past 20 years. Now it's time to solve the real problems behind it. Air filtration is not enough," says @humanspaceman_#IAQ#indoorairquality
"It's possible to create architecture that has a positive impact on the wellbeing of the people who end up using the building. I'm sure there is a good deal of architects that try to do this already. We at Conscious Design Media would like to find them." says @humanspaceman_
