This new Montana district is winnable. We can and WILL defeat Zinke and his extremist agenda this November, but we need to work together. Can I count on you to chip in $10? >> https://t.co/0jhCYofFXf
Effective immediately, Montana has banned changing the gender on your birth certificate illegal via executive fiat.
This is a deliberate defiance of a court order saying they had to allow transgender people to have correct documents.
I hurt for Montana transgender people today.
Growing up on a ranch in eastern Montana, I learned how to deal with snakes. And I know how to take on self-serving politicians like Ryan Zinke...Watch our new ad 👀 #mt01#mtpo
We must resist the politics of weaponized nostalgia.
The reactionary counter-mobilization against multiracial, pluralistic democracy is helped by a widespread nostalgia for a “golden age” in recent American history that never actually existed.

I want to say this as clearly as possible for "liberals" in San Francisco calling for more drug enforcement: there is no evidence in the 50-year War on Drugs that cops and cages reduce drug use. If you care about overdoses, punishment is not an answer, it's cartoonishly evil.
March 31 is International Transgender Day of Visibility (#TDOV), a global day of recognition dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and victories of #trans and gender-nonconforming people while raising awareness of the work still needed to save trans lives. 🏳️⚧️🧵
Still don't think there is a trans genocide building?
- Texas trying to take away trans kids from their parents.
- 200 state laws proposed to roll back trans rights.
- Some states proposing bans on leaving the state for trans kids.
- Pannels of people set to examine trans youth
Utah's Republican Governor Spencer Cox, as he vetoes a ban on trans athletes passed by the state legislature, notes 75,000 high school athletes and only four are transgender. "Rarely has so much fear and anger been directed at so few."
“People raised in cultures of shame don’t understand that you can do bad things without being a bad person.

@peteyreplies@cjquines To me, the "so what" is humility. Recognizing that noble intentions aren't enough, and you can't just expect that you can "beat" the circumstance (take the grant, work for the big company, etc) on prior values alone. You have to redesign the success criteria first.
