Women don't look like that at all because those are pictures of children. Jennifer Connelly was 13 in that picture and Keira Knightley had just turned 16 in the other.
If this is who you fancy than whoops, you're a nonce.
BTW, Troy Jackson wasn't just in the legislature. He was in both the state House and Senate, and was majority leader, minority leader and president of the senate. He has a ton of experience and is well-liked. Oh, and he was in a very red seat.
The moral alteration in an unthinkable expanse of people who call this place home has been stunning in its velocity and stomach-turning in its depths. The worst part is that we can’t reach them in the ways reasonable human beings can be reached.
Before Fox News, we could meet the people around us on the common ground of our shared faith in Jesus, our respect for the Constitution, the clarity of objective truth, or shared compassion for vulnerable people. Now, they no longer have use or tolerance for such things.
Those of us who’ve lost people we love to this curated pestilence should file a class-action suit against Fox News for thirty years of malpractice and murder: for the relationships they’ve destroyed, the deaths they’ve been complicit in, the betrayal of the public trust, and for purposefully killing the goodness in human beings who will never be who they might have been otherwise.

That's not what the paper says. It estimates 30% *of the increase* was due to illegal immigration, not a 30% increase. The total increase in housing was 22% -- but that's because the supply is fixed, which we can fix with better policy
Paper also says no effect on employment
Troy Jackson held a state senate seat that voted for Trump by double digits and was endorsed by Bernie in the gubernatorial primary, he’s the mix of progressive and appealing to swing voters that Platner had promised and failed to be, and the obvious choice to replace Platner.
This is embarrassing from DeSantis. Britain stood alone, defending the free world, while we were on the sidelines, crippled by isolationism. And that's after Britain took the most horrific casualties confronting Imperial Germany in World War I.
It’s important to remind Republicans what they are tolerating. Especially when they are opining on the behavior of democrats. The moral authority is gone forever and I’ll never let them forget it.
It is sad to see this headline going viral and immediately being shared by Republican politicians and conservative influencers... because it is literally factually false.
This headline totally mangles the findings of the Fed paper, which actually found that the illegal immigration surged potentially caused a 6.6% increase in housing prices and a 4.3% increase in rent prices in the studied metro areas.
That's a significant and damning finding—but it's still reckless for everyone from the White House Press Secretary to Republican members of Congress to be spreading totally false statistical claims.
Kevin McCarthy on Platner Allegations: That one thing I know about Republicans is when we had a very bad candidate, we didn't vote for that person. We walked away.
Swapping out Graham Platner is obviously the right move. It should probably be Troy Jackson. He's from the same wing of the party. He got the Sanders endorsement. He's a favorite of local unions.
He also held down a Collins +35 (!) and Trump +15 state senate district.
Platner needs to drop out ASAP - these are awful, credible allegations.
Said on the pod after the (also credible) June NYT story that his biggest problem going forward would be credibility. It's now abundantly clear that he just hasn't been honest about his past and can't be trusted as a candidate for office.
Saving grace is that the party can find a replacement by the 27th as long as he drops by the 13th, which I very much assume he will.
Graham Platner should drop out. If his video was a trial balloon, most Dems are popping it.
Also, gentle reminder that the sitting US president has been accused at least 28 times of sexual harassment and/or assault, and is an adjudicated rapist.
“Diversifying their news seems to be a common factor in those who left MAGA”
Also one of the women said her bf (now husband) showed her a documentary about J6 and it blew her mind.
The theory that maga folks simply are in a bubble outside reality with no info remains strong
Ex-Trump supporter: "I did believe that the election was stolen. I believed that the rioters were patriots until I switched off Fox News and started getting news and information from other places. That's when it finally hit."

@nancygo83125724 I didn’t use a slur and the L goes to anyone who still supports Trump and MAGA at this point, for being unable to comprehend any information
Trump did this right over Mandami’s head as the dirty little communist was sitting at George Washington’s desk backwards bitching about not having sharia law in America surrounded by crying women in hijabs.
Generational power move 🇺🇸💥
America has a huge literacy problem. Especially Republicans.
This right wing rag either intentionally mislead the findings, or simply cannot comprehend what they are reporting. In either event, it’s highly concerning.
No where in the paper does it say illegal immigration caused a 30% increase in home prices or 20% of rent prices.
It says that of the increase, 30%/20% is attributed to illegal immigration.
For example, rent prices increased by 15% from 2021-2024. 20% of that 15% was caused by illegal immigration.
15 x 0.20 =3%
3% was caused by illegal immigration, not 20%.
