Freedom from impediments due to race isn't a privilege. It's a right.
Accessibility, for able bodied or disabled, isn't a privilege. It's a right.
Painting these rights as privileges doesn't position us to guarantee them for the disadvantaged, but to take them away from others.
What is white privilege?
We asked @JohnAmaechi, psychologist, best-selling author and former NBA basketball player to explain it for us.

@PsychPLockwood Intelligence is a a physical trait while knowledge and wisdom are things one can acquire. I'd say intelligence matters the most because it helps in acquiring the two, but only because acquiring knowledge and wisdom (and sharing them) are actual worthwhile pursuits.
@TheDizzyBeauty@ConceptualJames "Reality is what you make it" is also the criticism of CRT.
Everything is not racist. Everything is not sexist. You don't have to point it out.
@ConceptualJames If CRT wanted to actually gain some traction with me, they would show their analysis tools can apply more broadly than their current focus, which is a ~very~ small percentage of the global population. It's even smaller if you want to focus on those actually suffering under power.
@ConceptualJames Japan and China have a long history of racism towards each other within their individual nations.
Affluent brown cultures have treated poorer Southeast Asian cultures as a ready source of essentially slave labour, seizing passports and physically abusing contracted workers.
@SumerNow @Reductress Agreed. Anyone that can't see @Jorgensen4POTUS is clearly the best choice might as well start handing out their lungs and kidneys to people more deserving.
@DurinnM Nostalgia aside, Rogue One is imho the best of the lot. You have to have watched the other movies to truly appreciate it, but I don't think that's a knock against a prequel.
@CardinalWayne@nationalpost@ChrisKnightfilm SNL has it's moments. But just like baseball, I get those moments in a highlights package, not sitting through the hours of boredom in between noteworthy plays.
I remember the old strategy of, "one person cuts the cake, the other hands out the pieces" to encourage fairness in cutting.
I'd love to ask a similar poll of leftists, only how many would be in favour of banning speakers if rightist definitions of "controversial" also counted.
@RodneyGHaacke@JaniceFiamengo I have no problem with campuses banning controversial speakers so long as I'm the one that gets to define who is and isn't a controversial speaker.
@JaniceFiamengo This is way better than Pantone's 1953 release of a blueish-purple shade, "didn't have dinner ready on time".
Business decisions that reflect current moral panics will inevitably bite any company that plans on being around 50 years from now. They'll be deemed outdated/racist/etc
