Joe Rogan and Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas get into a serious conversation about Fauci and “The Science.”
ROGAN: "One of the things that was really weird about the whole COVID pandemic was that we weren't supposed to question science… when Fauci said if you question Anthony Fauci, you are questioning science."
SRINIVAS: "That's because they try to assign credibility through their degrees, through their affiliations... but not through the scientific method. Anybody should be allowed to ask questions, as long as they are open to new evidence. And that's the most important quality of a scientist."
ROGAN: "There was an actual government push to silence questioning, and legitimate researchers were kicked off of Twitter because they didn't back the narrative. This is all anti-science."
SRINIVAS: "Curbing that is almost like a way of saying, 'Look, I'm going to tell you what happened. You need to believe in my worldview, and I'm not open to new perspectives.'"
Science demands questioning. The moment someone tells you not to, they've stopped doing science.
We cannot consider #AI to be morally neutral. In reality, every technical tool embodies choices and priorities through what it measures, ignores, and optimizes, and how it classifies people and situations. Ethical discernment cannot be limited to asking whether we are using a system for good or bad purposes. It must also examine how that system is designed and what vision of the human person and society is embedded in the data and models that guide it. #MagnificaHumanitas
Today, on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I’m releasing never-before-seen communications and documents exposing how Dr. Fauci provided millions in US taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, worked with politicized elements within the Intelligence Community to suppress the truth about his actions and hide the virus’ lab-leak origins, and lied to Congress while under oath in 2024. It’s time you know the truth.

The biggest scandal isn't just what happened during COVID.
It's that six years later, the evidence continues to emerge while many in government and the media still refuse to confront it.
I've spent years following the money and exposing the truth. The American people deserve answers and accountability.
THE GOONIES (1985) feels like it was made from childhood memories. Bike rides with friends, treasure maps, secret tunnels, and the belief that the biggest adventure in the world might be waiting just around the corner.
Let us ask Mary, Queen of Peace, to teach us to renounce hurtful words, hasty judgment, gossip, and slander. May we learn to cherish and nurture love within our families, among friends, in the workplace, on social media, in political debates, and in Christian communities, so that hatred may give way to hope and peace. #ApostolicJourney
missed this when Jessi first wrote it, but what a wonderful and purposeful essay. Just like the town church, the town general store was at the center of small towns. We need them to be again. Cool to see them making it a reality with opening their own.
My talented friend @MichaelPack_ has produced a great documentary about the lockdown dissidents & the silencing of science during the covid pandemic.
So much harm caused by the lockdowns, school closures, and mandates could have been avoided.
I'm working now to reform public health and science so nothing like that ever happens again.

Matthew McConaughey reflects on what he realized at 8 years old that made him want to be a father
"The only thing I ever knew in life I wanted to be was a father. I was 8 years old. My dad was a yes sir, no sir man. He'd introduce me to his friends and I'd shake their hand, 'Yes sir, nice to meet you'"
"What hit me at 8 years old was that all of those men whose hands I shook and called sir - they were dads. They were fathers"
"And in my 8-year-old mind, I went: 'Oh, that's how you make it. That's success. Become a father. That's how you become a man. That's how you become a king'"
I invite you to be new threads to weave new networks that harmonize every aspect of life for a renewed society in which time is imbued with eternity, culture preserves memory and fosters dialogue, education promotes the search for truth with a critical spirit, art awakens wonder and gives rise to noble emotions, business recognizes the dignity of each person, and work continues to be a driving force for hope. #ApostolicJourney https://t.co/2IeHrzWmSb
Last night the older kids and I slept out back in the tent, just for something fun to do on Friday night. It was a great night. It rained hard in the middle of the night and was really windy. We all woke up and had a good time listening to the rain on the rainfly and the wind in the branches overhead.
Life would probably be a lot more boring and just less innocent and fun if I didn't have kids.
If you grew up Gen X, you didn’t just play outside, you LIVED outside.
You knew the exact metallic sweet taste of garden hose water on a July afternoon.
You ran the streets like wild packs with zero adult supervision, no phones, no trackers, just the sun on your neck and dirt between your toes.
Nobody strapped you into a seatbelt. You vanished into the woods or the empty lots for hours, and the only GPS you needed was your internal clock and the streetlights.
You knew your neighborhood like a soldier knows his battlefield, every alley shortcut, every rooftop you weren’t supposed to be on, every neighbor who’d rat you out.
You navigated the whole world with nothing but your own two eyes and whatever change was in your pocket.
And the golden rule? If you stepped foot inside the house before dark, you were volunteering for chores.
That was our childhood.
No safety nets.
No screen time.
Just pure, reckless, beautiful independence.
Raise your hand if you survived it… and wouldn’t trade it for anything. ✋
The key to an exceptional life, is being okay with *the right type* of chaos from time to time.
Doing hard things always has the potential for chaos. Something can break, people get mad, etc.
Avoiding chaos entirely, creates a passive person & a small life. Push.
As summer begins, I implore parents to take time to read to/with your children. Ask them questions about history and science, and play games that require them to use mental math. Not only will this help your children stay sharp, it will reveal some of the gaps that need filling.
