So to recap what happened with the USMNT:

• Balogun received a bogus red card
• VAR protocol isn't followed (no slow-mo)
• Trump calls Infantino to ask about the process
• US Soccer lawyers preapre & submit an appeal

FIFA's independent 18-person disciplinary committee then met, approved the appeal, and told Balogun he could play in Monday's match against Belgium.

That's what everyone is complaining about?

All rules were followed, and that same process is open to every other country. The only difference is everyone knows the red card was a mistake to begin with.

Balogun was in on goal. He beat the defender and was about to score.
No red card. No penalty. No yellow card. No foul. No review.
The bizarre thing is that Fox Sports showed a replay that began just AFTER the defender let go of the arm. So weird. How could the officials miss this? And how could the TV crew miss it as well? @USMNT

Football is a humbling business.

Getting cut is never easy and it’s even tougher when someone comes in and you slide back on the depth chart. But in this league, you learn quickly that respect runs deeper than circumstance.

Malik has become one of my best friends, and there’s honestly no one more deserving of everything coming his way. I know firsthand it’s never been about money or headlines for him but it’s about the work, the faith, and showing up every single day chasing the dream the right way.

Watching his journey up close has been inspiring. He’s showing guys like me what perseverance, belief, and patience really look like in the NFL.
