Happy Fourth?, by @DanRather https://t.co/hUkTLeSoer. I’ve struggled to find the words to express my feelings today. As usual Dan Rather is brilliant in his perspective of aspirational hope 💕
@LizPuppers@BretWeinstein Thank you for listening. I found the truth about my birth mother about 10 years ago. She suffered crippling depression, severe migraines and almost lost her husband after she had children with him. Every birthday and holiday reignited the trauma/wound from when she was 17.
@LizPuppers@BretWeinstein On the surface, it seems like an easy solution. As an adult adoptee that spent a life time healing from the trauma of not knowing my roots, medical history or tribe, I lovingly suggest talking with women who had to relinquish their children as well as adoptees. Its heartbreaking.

@lizzieharvie Wow! I’m getting my head around #forcedbirth#forcedadoption. The phrase “forced birth” is powerful! It needs to go viral. As a fellow adoptee it’s time for our voices to be heard. And the life-long traumas of our birth mothers acknowledged and honored.
@DavidBrown41 Me too… class of ‘56. I wrote a book about my search for my birth mother and medical records. Learning about the impact her secret had on her entire life I knew I needed to give her the voice she never had. And now decades later, it’s our time to be heard.
@CancerCanuck@ThanksCancer You’re way ahead of where I was! Great work!!! I’m cancer free 10 years later and feel great. Total mind-body-spirit over-haul. Check out Anita Moorjani on YouTube. Her healing story is incredibly inspiring. The power of our thoughts on bio-chemistry and healing changed my life✨

@kim_penn I’ve gone from anger-sadness - disbelief since Amy Coney Barrett’s insensitive, uninformed, cold-hearted “drop the baby at a safe haven”https://t.co/K99koDzqEv adoptees we are the ones that need to change the conversation,to include compassion, understanding of the emotional wound
@NaZCasey The upside is the opportunity to change the conversation. Adoption is not the “easy” way out. Imagine the potential for new solutions if compassionate, honest dialogue comes out of this mess. I spent decades trying to heal from an addiction I didn’t understand the root cause of.
@kim_penn AND lifelong scars experienced by mothers and adoptees. How does anyone have the right to dictate which emotional trauma a woman should experience: adoption or abortion. Both have lasting implications. Adoption is not the “easy way out!!!”
