Check out our recently published paper, looking at how the complex interplay of host–parasite 🪱 and predator–prey 🦐🐟interactions drive the prevalence of infection here: https://t.co/c2epM35mCl
Our paper is out. https://t.co/MKeKl5V2f4 The interplay of direct and indirect parasite effects can lead to opposite orders of numbers of infected and uninfected prey and predators. Excited for our following-up study moving beyond ecology to coevolution. Link 👇

Nicely ending the year with a new pre-print from @ceci_hi91 "Complex life cycles and #parasite-mediated trophic cascades drive species coexistence and the maintenance of genetic #diversity" with @huang_weini@QM_SBBS https://t.co/RflPUAIJ4e
For anyone who missed my entoLIVE webinar, its now up on youtube! Part of an excellently ran series of talks by @KeironDBrown - check it out for an accessible overview of my PhD and other fun facts about insect emergence - hopefully I can convince you midges are pretty cool 🦟~

Alice and James are attending the QMUL Post Doc conference today, where we are discussing important issues in #postdoclife and how we can improve the #postdocexperience#QMPDC23 @QMUL_RD
Wild-live streaming, our public engagement project, bringing NGOs and scientists in UK classrooms, is really taking off! Today already we received 12 emails from schools willing to participate. Learn more at https://t.co/RBlHstKCuu @QM_SBBS@EngageQM @NCCPE
Today we had a very special guest in our weekly #EED meeting! Chief Editor at Genome Biology, Dr Veronique van den Berghe talked to us about her life as an editor at a #journal and #career pathway!📒🖊️
Happy #InternationalWomensDay to the brilliant #WomenInSTEM in our lab! 👩💻 Reaching the end of their journeys with us are Ceci @ceci_hi91 who is finishing her #PhD thesis & Alice who is finishing her postdoc and submitting a paper 🐟 Go Ceci and Alice! 💪 @QM_SBBS
Today, we have a speciel event which is @QM_SBBS Postgraduate Research Symposium. There are talks and posters and we will contribute to this annual event. We will update it soon!
I m glad that even years later we still agree #stickleback and #parasites rock! @TheBiologyBen it seems that you have a talk ready to visit us ;-) @QM_SBBS
We recently saw a display about nest parasitism by cuckoos. Seeing the tiny host feeding a massive chick is always a curious sight but it also reminds us of the diversity that exists in host-parasite systems #nestparasitism#diversity#evolution
