Gandhi is taught in Western schools for a reason.

Not because nonviolent resistance is the only thing that works. Because it is the only thing the system is comfortable including in its curriculum.

Teach Gandhi.

Don't teach the Mau Mau. Don't teach the FLN. Don't teach the Việt Minh.

Don't teach the conditions that made those movements inevitable, the specific brutalities that nonviolent petition had already failed to address for decades before people concluded that petitioning had a ceiling.

The lesson they want you to take from Gandhi is: change comes from asking politely with great moral dignity.

The lesson they don't want you to take from the full history is: the British left India because the empire was no longer sustainable, economically or militarily, after the Second World War, and the independence movements across the empire made continued colonial control more expensive than it was worth.

Gandhi mattered. Gandhi was extraordinary.

He was also operating within a specific set of historical conditions that made nonviolent resistance viable in ways it is not always viable.

The system teaches you the tactic without the conditions.

So you apply the tactic in conditions where it was never going to be enough.

And then it tells you that you failed because you didn't have Gandhi's moral purity.

There is a type of Western feminist who has strong opinions about the hijab and has never once organized against an arms sale.

Who discusses Muslim women's autonomy at length and has never read a word about what structural adjustment programs imposed by Western-led financial institutions did to female employment, female education, and female healthcare access across the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia in the 1980s and 1990s.

Who can describe in detail the ways Islamic jurisprudence has historically constrained women's rights and cannot name a single woman killed by a drone strike.

This feminist is not unintelligent.

She has simply inherited a feminism that was constructed within empire, that took imperial priorities as its frame, that universalized a very specific, very Western, very culturally located set of concerns about women's freedom while remaining systematically incurious about the relationship between that freedom and the violence done abroad in its name.

Her feminism includes her.

It reaches toward Muslim women instrumentally, when their suffering can be used to argue for Western superiority.

It does not reach toward the women under the bombs.

It does not reach toward the women whose healthcare infrastructure was defunded because the IMF required it.

It does not reach toward the women picking through rubble.

It was never meant to.

He believed the deal.

He believed that compliance would produce security.

In 2011, NATO bombed his country for seven months.

Hillary Clinton, upon hearing of his death, after he had been captured, sodomized with a bayonet, and killed by a mob, appeared on camera and laughed:

"We came, we saw, he died."

Kim Jong-un watched this.

The Iranian leadership watched this.

Every government on Earth that was considering what compliance with Western demands actually produces watched this.

Gaddafi is the lesson.

Not the lesson the West wants to teach.

The lesson history actually teaches.

The empire does not reward disarmament.

It schedules it.

Questi costi NON SONO NEI PREZZI DELL'ENERGIA ELETTRICA SPOT.

Sono costi "del sistema", che fanno riferimento all'aumento dei rischi di instabilità del sistema rispetto ad adeguatezza, flessibilità, regolazione di tensione e frequenza, congestioni, oltre che ai costi di overgeneration.

Si pagano e si pagheranno sempre di più tra gli "oneri di sistema" e in parte anche nei prezzi dell'energia (ad esempio l'energia da accumulo).

Più chiaro di così è impossibile, chi vuole capire può capire. Chi non vuole capire non capirà mai.

Nel Documento Programmatico di Bilancio 2025 del 15 ottobre 2024 il Governo prevedeva il ritorno dell'austerità già nel 2024 (un anno prima di quanto richiesto dalla UE) con un avanzo primario dello 0,1% nel 2024 e dello 0,6% nel 2025. Nel Documento di Finanza Pubblica di ieri si vede che l'avanzo primario è stato invece dello 0,5% nel 2024 e dello 0,8% nel 2025. Praticamente il Governo ha fatto il doppio del consolidamento fiscale rispetto a quanto aveva previsto.

Questo è uno dei motivi per cui l'Italia non rialza la testa: il becero auto-razzismo anti-italiano.

I dati ISTAT confermano infatti come la percezione della corruzione in Italia è clamorosamente più alta rispetto all'entità reale del fenomeno. Dati confermati anche dall’ultimo report della Commissione Europea sulla corruzione in cui viene fuori come solo il 6% degli italiani conoscano qualcuno che accetta o ha accettato tangenti contro una media UE dell'11% e contro il 10% della Francia, l'8% della Germania, il 10% dell'Olanda e il 12% dell'Austria. Per quanto riguarda le persone che hanno vissuto direttamente o sono state testimoni di episodi di corruzione negli ultimi 12 mesi, in Italia la percentuale è del 6%, perfettamente in linea con la media UE e lontanissimo dai Paesi che occupano i primi posti (Ungheria, Bulgaria e Grecia rispettivamente col 18%, il 15% e il 13%).

Ovviamente non è vero che tutti gli altri Paesi sono cresciuti. Produzione industriale e settore manifatturiero sono andati male in quasi tutti i Paesi membri. I Paesi cosiddetti periferici (quelli che i tedeschi chiamavano simpaticamente maiali, PIIGS) sono mediamente andati peggio a causa delle caratteristiche del sistema euro (ciclo di Frenkel). I Paesi UE che sono andati meno peggio degli altri lo hanno fatto perché non hanno l'euro e/o sono percettori netti e/o non hanno rispettato i parametri europei e/o hanno fatto dumping fiscale rubando risorse agli altri Paesi. L'Italia non rientra in nessuno di questi casi.
