🤝Signed, sealed…and to be delivered: Joint Strike Missile agreement between Norway and Germany signed in The Hague 🇩🇪
The German government plans to procure Joint Strike Missiles (JSM) from Norway, in a deal valued at approximately NOK 6.5 billion.
During the @NATO summit in The Hague, defence ministers Tore O. Sandvik and Boris Pistorius signed an agreement paving the way for Norwegian authorities to enter into a contract with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace for the delivery of JSMs to Germany.
‘NATO cooperation between Norway and Germany continues to grow stronger. The JSM partnership is a clear example of that. The Joint Strike Missile is a new, advanced missile specifically developed for the F-35 fighter jet. It can engage well-defended sea and land targets at long range with high precision – providing superior military capability,’ said Tore O. Sandvik.
Germany will become the fifth country to acquire the JSM, alongside Norway, Japan, Australia, and the United States.

Norway will finance production of missiles for NASAMS in Ukraine🚀🇺🇦
Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KDA) has entered into an agreement with a major Ukrainian company to develop and produce missiles for NASAMS. This type of missiles will be cheaper to manufacture than what what is used today, and can be used alongside the AMRAAM-missiles.
Norwegian Minister of Defence Tore O. Sandvik and Ukraine´s Minister of Defence, @rustem_umerov, were present during the signing of the agreement in Ukraine Sunday.
‘The Norwegian NASAMS system saves lives in Ukraine every day, and is crucial in protecting critical infrastructure. That is why it is important for the Norwegian Government to finance this development of cheaper missiles for the NASAMS system in Ukraine’, said DefMin @toreosa.
