Have you seen the National Disaster Management Bill that seeks to grant the president mandate to declare a national disaster, prevent movement from territories they deem to have those disasters and forcefully evict people there?

"trauma dump" is going up on the shelf where we put words the internet shouldn't be allowed to have anymore. Your FRIEND is telling you about their LIFE and you should LISTEN even if it's a LITTLE BIT UNCOMFORTABLE

This is why we are warning Kenyans that Kenya has no infrastractural or operational capacity to handle an Ebola outbreak.
We saw how things went during Covid, and we remember all the Doctors we lost to it, some of them dying while their salaries had been unpaid for months.
We saw how govt scrambled to hire healthcare workers on sham contracts because the chronic understaffing was exposed.
We saw how little ICU beds Kenya had for a population of 50+ millions.
We saw how most aid we were given was looted at the expense of the healthcare workers.
We saw healthcare workers pay for their own treatment when they contracted Covid in the frontlines.
It is a traumatic period for healthcare workers in Kenya. We still grieve to this day.
We are therefore shocked and saddened, that our government would make such a reckless decision, showing the little disregard they have for its healthcare workers.
Ebola is termed a "disease of the compassionate" because it afflicts mostly caregivers caring for the afflicted. Its fatality rate is 30-80%. For healthcare workers, this is a death sentence wrapped in diplomacy.
We are your wives, your husbands, your neighbours, your parents. Our children go to school with yours. An outbreak would spread quite easily.
Do not underestimate the gravity. Identifying an afflicted person is harder than you think. The chances that one such individual moves around and afflicts others before they are diacovered is enormous. And this multiplies exponentially. We have no infrastructural capacity or sufficient test kits/PPEs to arrest it with speed. The public healthcare system in its current state will struggle.
Please, do not allow this risk. The World Health Organization (WHO) has termed it "...reckless, unethical and potentially unlawful"

BREAKING: Congolese President Tshisekedi Stuck at Budapest Airport Over Ebola Concerns
President Félix Tshisekedi was held up at Budapest Airport after arriving with a delegation to attend the Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal, sources claim.
Hungarian airport authorities refused him entry, stating they had not been notified of the arrival and citing the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the DRC as the reason.
In a twist, his brother, Christian Tshisekedi, is said to have landed in Hungary days earlier with friends, traveling via Brussels on multiple private jets and already on site for the match.
The incident has sparked questions about protocol and travel restrictions amid the health crisis.
The only crime Cuba has committed is successfully resisting imperialism and proving that countries can provide healthcare to their citizens if their leadership actually wants to do that.
@Anyango007 only revolution can save this country. Tragedies happened during his time in office because the schools have always been in horrible condition. why can't we envision and demand a new system with schools built and equipped to the best standards?
Hii Ebola ya Congo hukua njia moja ya kufukuza communities places kuna minerals. It's just that sometimes it gets out of hand.... and the virus finds its way to othe places/countries that's when they start calling it a problem. Ogopa hao majamaa wa kupora madini juu hawana utu
