CCFD worked a structure fire early this morning in eastern Cleveland County with Mutual Aid from Slaughterville FD. Fully involved single wide trailer which was unoccupied. Currently under investigation.
Worked storm damage in Cleveland County with LexFD and Slaughterville FD this morning. Found some damage to homes, but no injuries as of right now. Woke these 4 up to get out and get to checking homes in the area. Glad there were no injuries that we know of. #MutualAidOutlaws
Just sitting here under a canopy at a car wash in my command vehicle in Norman and watching @KOCOMichael getting pelted with hail down by Goldsby. Be careful my friend.
Dash cam footage when we rolled up on our 2nd fire Saturday night. It was a full moon. Then we id'd our 3 guys in the 2nd video and I think the names are spot on..
CCFD worked a 2nd all nighter structure fire in 48 hours and after 2 am. Had some help from Slaughterville, Lexington , and Wanette on this one. Red Cross was contacted for the family and we were also assisted by @ClevCoSheriff#MutualAidOutlaws

LEXWMA will be burning today. 180th and York by the gun range and a large area 156th and Duffy over to 144th and York in the middle of their area. Smoke will be in the area. @koconews@NEWS9@kfor@ClevCoSheriff@cityofnormanok
So everyone is clear on this. Nobody in Cleveland County is being given permission for outside burning by local FD's. We cant speak for everyone, but if you are in our Fire District, we will put it out. Stop lighting anything. @koconews@kfor@news9@ClevCoSheriff
Watch the time stamp. For people saying that we can cover every structure and protect them in rural areas without hydrants or even next to a fire station, they do not understand fire and wind behavior. 3 minutes.
This is how quickly a house can become involved in winds and a fire surge like last Friday. Unless the FD is parked in the driveway ready to structure protect, with multiple units and an unlimited water supply, we can't stop all of the structure fires. Not in 70 mph winds.
Just want to clear all of this up. This was posted by one of our Churches during our Fires Friday night. It was a miscommunication from 12 Corners and I appreciate everything they do for us. I am alive and well and appreciate all the panic calls my wife and Ast. Chief received.
One of 3 pages. A plea to everyone in Cleveland County to give our guys a break and dont start anything until it greens up. No burning is authorized in Cleveland County by any of our Fire Chiefs until further notice. @koconews@kfor@news9@ClevCoSheriff
CCFD worked Mutual Aid with SFD , LexFD, L lttle Axe, Norman and Noble on a grass fire started by a burn barrel. 2 people were transported for burns to their bodies. Vehicle, house, property were affected. We stopped the house from burning or would have been gone also. 1/3
3/3. Type of fire weather this time of year. Enough is enough with being careless. Its not Rocket Science. Its a human thought process that causes alot of this devastation. Give these guys a break. They deserve it. #NosparkNoFlames

2/3. Even though there is no burn ban, there is a common sense theory to not light anything in these dry conditions. My firefighters are worn out from the last 3 days of fires. Give them a break tomorrow. Dont do anything that can cause a spark. We live and breath this.
CCFF responded as mutual aid with Lexington FD , Noble FD and Slaughterville FD on 2 large grass fires last night in far eastern and southern Cleveland County. Muddy conditions and the ability to make access were huge problems. Cause of fires are under investigation..
Great information from @KOCOMichael
He really explains what we are up against in Wildfire season. Thank you for keeping everyone safe sir.
