@BradenMTG @Baeowulfe Interesting question. When the table is all boogeymen everyone is playing the game they planned on.

When a stax deck is at the table and resolves a RoL, only the stax deck is playing the game it planned on. The efficient, low impact cards played boogeymen become terrible.

@T1Thoughtseize @CommandSphere I think cEDH is largely a rule 0 success in that cEDH players know how to recognize and want to play against cEDH decks. The most common rift IMO is between 2 "fun" "7" casual decks that are miles apart in power. It's the difference between a tuned Korvold and a flavorful Garth.

After reading the article, I have mixed feelings personally. It's obvious that the commander being discussed is much more of the battlecruiser, 4 hour grindy bullshit that ends after someone finally draws an overrun effect than my play style and I am trying to view it like that
