@newscientist @Annaleen This really opened my eyes to what land grant colleges are all about. I always thought the land that was “granted” was the campus. Nope. So much good came from LGCs (county extensions, sharing ag best practices, etc) that I am conflicted re their origins.

@AndreaTWeather @sciam I don’t understand. All the carbon generated in rumens, in rice paddies, etc is all current carbon in the active carbon cycle. All plants release CO2 when broken down, the same co2 they took out of the air. Yes there’s too much co2 in the air, but that’s from fossil carbon, no?
