the web3 thesis was one unified social graph with verticalized frontends.

that failed because the best frontend owns the social graph. content discovery, profile recommendations, you may also like, these are not just backend algorithms but embedded in the UI. so composability of the data layer alone didn't work.

however, assets and markets are composable in a way that they're context is independent of the UI. its price, orders, bids/asks. that's why you can already use multiple brokers to trade the same markets at the same prices.

take prediction markets, as long as you have parity on price/liquidity....there will always be room for a more specialized UI. we saw early signs of this when polymarket embedded the livestream of the chess world cup on their markets page.

tldr. assets & markets are the social graph of finance. putting them on a performant network like solana makes infinite apps/UXs possible. that's internet capital markets.
