Speaker Jones, are you suggesting income taxes will be eliminated in Missouri, or that it will be shifted to sales tax? You are never clear on this. Also, doesn't amendment 5 give broad powers to the legislature to increase sales taxes and even bypass the Hancock amendment?

The people of Missouri have been VERY, VERY clear for over 10 years that they wanted personal property taxes eliminated and all recipients of said tax compensated by all the waste found in the state budget.

This is a bait and switch. I really wish the GOP would listen to their base but they are too busy making other plans and gaslighting any conservative that disagrees with this apparently. I see Amendment 5 as a "gateway drug" to MUCH higher sales taxes and new taxes on services in Missouri.

While the Missouri GOP is asking for fanfare over a $4 Billion decrease in spending, many of us remember that the budget increased over 100% in the past 12 years ($25 Billion), under the GOP controlled state legislature and governors.

This is not conservative or even Libertarian, it's just a deceptive misdirection. Can you tell us who funded this legislation beyond Americans for Prosperity and the Koch Brothers?

Almost all critical neurological development happens before age four. Vaccines are far safer when given later in life and metered out individually — not in large combination batches. Risk stratification matters: a child born without a spleen needs certain vaccines immediately. A perfectly healthy child in normal circumstances does not face the same calculus.
