Green burials are a form of burial that is more natural, not involving the embalmment of bodies with chemicals and then placed in non-biodegradable caskets. Providing this option is critical in opening up more eco-friendly choices for people #UnleashValues@cosphereproject
Currently, only two provinces in Canada have sites that allow a full green burial. I envision a future where it becomes a norm where every municipality and every province and country have the option for people to choose green burial-
This would not only promote companies to reuse the byproducts and wastes they produce but also reduce the amounts of waste that their products create in the first place in order to limit the amount of waste they need to deal with.
I hope for a future where companies take responsibility for their products further than just selling them to consumers. We should have strict laws and policy in place that holds companies accountable. #UnleashValues@cosphereproject
-to be sent back to companies. These companies should then be responsible for finding environmentally sustainable ways to either reuse these wastes or compost them etc.
I think it is very backwards that companies that are making more green/sustainable initiatives are the ones in the limelight and generally more scrutinized. The attention and critical eye should be turned on companies- #UnleashValues@cosphereproject
-that are not making any efforts to make their products and production process more sustainable and they should be under more public pressure. I think starting to boycott certain companies such as Shien for fast fashion and using our social media to engage others-

With climate change, more intense and larger-scale wildfires also known as #superfires are more frequent. Fires not only affect the biodiversity and forest ecosystems here in BC, but humans are also directly affected. #UnleashValues@cosphereproject
-the scale and frequency of these large forest fires in our province. Additionally, I hope for action to remove fire fuels such as dead/fallen trees to build forest resilience in areas of risk. I personally will help in continuing the discussion of climate change and its effects-
- as well as interacting with their media platforms. All humans have the fundamental right to water and our government should be making this a higher priority and focus more efforts on proper water reclamation to then further secure clean drinking water for all people.
Although Canada is one of the countries with the highest quality of drinking water, there are still marginalized communities without proper access to clean drinking water and with a higher risk of contamination. #UnleashValues@cosphereproject
The Dreamcatcher Foundation aims to solve this issue and allow access to clean drinking water across all Indigenous communities across Canada. I will support their cause #autumnpeltierproject by calling our government to action by signing their ‘right to water' petition -
