@brianlilley This prompted me to search whether the Laff is still open. Watching curling at the Laff circa 1997 and drinking a quart of 50 would be the perfect Canadian trifecta.
@AirCanada@TeamCanada@CDNParalympics My son was a very lucky student to attend this event yesterday. Thanks for including young athletes. He met Olympians and listened to speeches, but his favourite part was the buffet.

A 6,000 word essay from the Australian Treasurer -- a Labor MP. Progressive Canadian policy nerds take note, as Aussie politics and #cdnpoli have a lot of similarities.
.@JEChalmers’ essay on “values-based capitalism” and the government’s approach to framing the economy: “My optimism comes from believing that, amid all the difficulties, 2023 will be the year we build a better capitalism, uniquely Australian.” #AusPol https://t.co/ttAu02keDE
@coylejim20 Thanks Jim. I think of Leon often. I miss him most when I'm hanging around the hockey rink. I would have loved just one chance to bump into him at the rink while we were both ferrying our kids to a game. There would have been a big hug and a lot of laughs. Gone too soon.

AP images of a pregnant woman being rushed to an ambulance after Russia bombed a maternity hospital in Mariupol where she was meant to give birth shocked the world.
@AP has learned that the woman and her baby have died.
