1/8 The childcare cliff edge got the headlines this week @KemiBadenoch . But who pays for the floor? I run three London nurseries. Both parties want to help parents with childcare costs. Neither has answered the question: who funds the actual hour of care?

1/ Kemi Badenoch is right: the £100k childcare cliff edge punishes parents for earning more and has to go. But it's the first step, not the destination (@ftukpolitics https://t.co/EeADYne5PA).
4/ Let big employers fund their own staff's childcare, and focus public money on small-firm workers, the self-employed, the low-paid and parents trying to get back into work. Every employer-funded place frees a state-funded one.
Don’t miss this powerful piece by Cennydd John — a bold rethink of private capital in UK childcare and how to build value, not just valuations.
From crisis to sustainable solutions, it’s a must-read.
