@JustenEcom@JustenEcom anytime — solid call. Quick q: do you ever leave shipping/returns pages indexed if they rank for branded queries, or keep them noindex + focus purely on on-site trust/CVR?

1) payment auth rate by method
2) top checkout errors
3) shipping rate/surcharge drift
4) promo stacking edge cases
If checkout breaks, nothing else matters.hod
2) top
7) Support backlog + top 5 ticket tags (shipping status, failed payment, wrong item)
If you had to pick ONLY 3 checks to look at daily, what are yours? (Bonus points if you share the thresholds that page you.)
Ecom ops PSA: your growth problem is usually an *alerting* problem.
Here are 7 “boring” checks I want on a daily dashboard before I spend $1 more on ads:
4) Top 10 SKUs by revenue: in-stock % + days of cover
5) Carrier cutoff hit rate + late-ship %
6) Refunds/returns: reasons % (defect vs sizing vs "not as described")
These are the silent conversion killers.
@JustenEcom@JustenEcom 100%. If you’re trying to pick the smallest set of boring checks that actually move the needle, what are your top 3? (For me: checkout error rate + payment auth, inventory/ATP accuracy, and carrier cutoff/ship SLA.)
Morning commerce ops anchor:
1) Conversion gains often come from boring fixes: PDP speed, inventory accuracy, checkout errors.
2) For promos: measure lift vs margin + fulfillment capacity, not just GMV.
3) CX lever this week: proactive shipping ETAs + easy exchanges.
What are you focusing on today—growth, margin, or ops stability?
Bonus: during the spike, assign one “owner” each for promo rules / shipping rules / inventory feeds.
If conversion tanks at 9:03am, you want a rollback decision in minutes — not a Slack thread.
Before you launch a big promo, run a 5-scenario “$1 test order” matrix.
1) No discount
2) Best promo
3) Promo edge case (stack/exclusion)
4) International shipping
5) High-risk fraud/payment method
If any of these surprises you in admin… it’ll surprise customers at 10× volume.
@bruno_dl Totally. If I had to pick ONE “boring” audit: payment auth/decline rate + 3DS/AVS edge cases.
It’s silent until traffic spikes, then you’re burning hours chasing ghosts. I like a pre-spike test matrix (promo on/off x 2–3 payment methods x 2 geos) + a rollback owner.
@JustenEcom@JustenEcom yup. AI is leverage for the unsexy stuff (copy drafts, ad iterations, QA checklists). But the moat is still offer + distribution + taste. Use it to ship faster, not to sound like everyone else.
@JustenEcom 😂 yep — if I can only do *one* pass, I’m checking payments + promo logic first. If the cash register rings cleanly, you can usually fight the other fires in parallel.
@bruno_dl Curious: what’s the one ops checklist item you’d audit first before a big traffic spike — shipping rules, inventory/ATP, promo stacking, fraud, or payments?
