@Lefty_Jew However, he made more straightforwardly political films: Les Carabiners, tout va bien, Here and elsewhere; about war, labor, and Palestine. He made odd one offs like the musical a woman is a woman, and masculine/feminine a film about “the children of Marx and Coca Cola”
@Lefty_Jew Breathless, Band of outsiders, and vivre sa vie are obvious starting points. His films got more formally radical and difficult after that. His Maoist films are most difficult, so not for everyone
