@Ma1ick Dogs and cats carry diseases too. Definitely going to be more impacted if a dog bit me than a rat.
Also rats are smart and sociable. They like to play, have scritches and cuddles, steal food off your plate. Just like mini, more agile dogs. And did I say cute? Very cute
Antivax/anti mask rhetoric is at it's very core ableist and antisemitic
It originated from the idea that:
1) autistic people shouldn't exist
2) there's an evil, greedy Jewish organisation trying to run the world
Question is, are you happy enabling ableism and antisemitism?
@Voitecr2 @EnbyChaotic @ohhnoitsco @TheGreenWitchy I think you need to learn how a vaccine works compared to antibiotics. Completely different things with different functions.
Antibiotics are for individual health and very much work better if people aren't all taking them. Vaccines are as as much for public health as individual.
@joerare@TheGreenWitchy@richard_forget Misleading.
Fetal cells yes but some created from a sample taken decades ago.
Using cell lines is def vegan and it would be better to encourage more testing like this and less animal testing. Not argue against the one kind of testing that literally hurts no one.
@PragmaV@eranAbamie@lloyd_omar @greenteathyroid @BadMedicalTakes I agree! In part at least. I agree D3 is harder to get and that is a bigger problem as for most people it's more important to supplement D3 than it is B12.
It's def worth knowing that maybe you should do it and that it's something to check for if you're not feeling well.
@PragmaV@eranAbamie@lloyd_omar @greenteathyroid @BadMedicalTakes That's not to say we should talk a out supplementing B12 but I think it's misleading to say that vegans need to do it to be healthy
@PragmaV@eranAbamie@lloyd_omar @greenteathyroid @BadMedicalTakes That really isn't the rational above. There are very few plant sources of D3 and everyone, vegan or not, needs to supplement D3 at certain times of the year.
There are more easily available B12 sources in food and there is limited proof that supplementing is effective.
@PragmaV@eranAbamie@lloyd_omar @greenteathyroid @BadMedicalTakes I am already eating so it's not really extra steps. Taking tablets every day is for sure extra steps. I'm not saying don't supplement bit I thibk they only thing anyone def NEEDS is D3.
