@antoniabance Same in my area! My road is also used as a cut through and the amount of speeding drivers taking their kids to school in giant cars is absolutely infuriating.
NEW: Opt-out HIV and hepatitis testing sees almost 2,000 new diagnoses in first year — it must be expanded.
"We cannot afford for there to be further delay – the government must fund opt-out HIV testing for high prevalence areas now," says @RichardAngell.

'It’s a quick and simple test.'

Today @UKHSA has announced 10 new cases of #mpox in London.
We are calling for the extension of the current vaccine programme for gay and bisexual men, as well as for continued vigilance to the signs and symptoms of #mpox.
Here's a statement from our Head of Policy @cerismith.
Please share far and wide.
It's completely unacceptable that people living with HIV still face discrimination in 2023.
If you’re living with HIV, please take our survey to help us fight HIV related discrimination so that everyone living with HIV can live a fulfilling life.
Paul O’Grady’s memories of the 1980s include hospital visits, funerals & talking to parents of dying friends.
Paul was a strong ally for the HIV community, including performing as Lily to raise vital funds.
Thank you for all you did, Paul. Rest in peace.

🧵Here's an overview of what you can expect on the day. Yes, there is a rail strike on Saturday 18, but some services will be running & it's not expected to affect @TfL directly👇 https://t.co/Bv9BRPl7P1
Really pleased to see *something* happening on childcare. But as a parent of a nearly 2 year old, paying £12K a year for a part time place at nursery, this is an achingly long time to phase in these reforms.
In eligible homes where all adults work 16+hrs. Plan is 30hrs childcare a week in Eng for 9mths to school age (Eng only, but funds to other UK nations). It'll be phased
-April 24, 2yr olds 15hr/wk
-Sept 24 all 9mths-3yr 15hrs/wk
-Sept 25 all 9mth to school 30hrs/wk

A year ago on #IWD we discussed how women are treated as an afterthought in HIV and sexual health policy.
Has this changed? Sadly, this remains much the same, if not worse. Here's our Head of Policy @cerismith on what actions the Government must to take.

I’m so happy about this appointment and could not be prouder of @RichardAngell. He’s an incredible leader and I’ve absolutely loved having the opportunity to work with him over the last few months. I’m very excited to see where he takes @THTorguk next
NEW: Richard Angell has been appointed as new Chief Executive of Terrence Higgins Trust. He will start on 1 March.

@LibbyPageWrites Eugh, yes completely relate to this. I have alternate Fridays off with my daughter and so often encounter really exhausted mums at play groups/soft play who are often minimising their partner’s really crappy level of effort. I find it incredibly depressing.
@ladylaxton I studied it until 17 and failed at AS Level (showing my age!). I found the move from school-level to FE maths too jarring. That said, it would have been really helpful to have learnt calculus before doing a science degree - I had to do a lot of catching up eventually…
