@Pasty_Kween it makes your phone take longer to take a photo in low light so that the lens can catch more light, if it's turned off then photos taken in the dark look worse bc there wasn't enough light. it's a necessary evil i'm afraid 😪
@gxrethclarke A lot of the time there are compromises, like sometimes the rhyme is lost to keep meaning, or the meaning is slightly changed to keep the right amount of syllables. It’s hard to tell what the compromises are unless you speak both languages
@gxrethclarke Song translation is a really interesting topic imo, if you really wanna deep dive into it, you can look up Peter Low’s pentathlon principle which lays out 5 key aspects translators have to balance to translate songs well
@YvesilQueen@VictoriaScone@_bhavp it's not an outlier if literally all of them are in use?? different people have different boundaries, that's fine, but they are all very much said, which is the point I was making
@YvesilQueen@VictoriaScone@_bhavp the way that's just not true at all 😭 found jobless/wigless/trembling/dead are all actively used variants of the same thing. it's like saying "eat your heart out", the concept has existed for years
@TedTalksDrag@VictoriaScone@_bhavp Sure, I just think people with a bigger platform have a responsibility not to repost deleted tweets from smaller accounts without context. We all have different boundaries when it comes to jokes and I'm glad it was resolved peacefully but it doesn't always happen that way
@TedTalksDrag@VictoriaScone@_bhavp It's definitely worth having a conversation about, idk if the person who said it necessarily knew that someone in victoria's life had recently died and would be more sensitive to seeing it. I just think there are ways of talking about it without putting a random person on blast
