We sold out the last two NYE’s at @FirstAvenue, and were supposed to again this year. Moving that plan to 2021.
Tonight I’m hosting a (free) virtual ‘80s prom themed NYE via my Twitch channel starting at 8pm central here: https://t.co/H3c4RJ3NNz
No date, tux or dress necessary.
I’m proud to stand with my @MPR colleagues in organizing with @sagaftra! We hope MPR’s management will voluntarily recognize us so we can get to work negotiating a contract!

I believe the 8 women who bravely confided in @MarianneSCombs. I trust Marianne's judgment as an award-winning journalist, and believe that what she said is true. I believe all survivors who make the terrifying and vulnerable decision to come forward.
This Saturday, May 2nd I’m thrilled to team up with @slicingeyeballs for a night dedicated to MTV’s “120 Minutes” and The Cure, but tonight ‘80s prom me invites you to enjoy a night of new wave and pop from the decade.
Live on Twitch at 8pm (central) here https://t.co/5mWOPwcAN4
Only 14,000 available ICU beds and <100,000 ventilators in the US to fight this epidemic. That makes it more important to prevent #COVID19 spread.

Close everything. Work from home,
do not go to bars/restaurants/church avoid all groups. And, and this is really important: encourage others to do the same. Contact your elected officials and employers and urge them to shut things down now, before it's too late. (6/6)
But this future is not set in stone. With only ~3,000 cases in the US, there is still time to act, but we have to radically change our behaviors, and we have to do it now. (5/5)
If we do not change our personal behavior, by early April the entire US medical system will be treating critical Covid-19 cases.
Even if these numbers are off by a factor of 2 or 3, it only changes by one or two days when it happens. (4/4)
If 10% require hospitalization:
~April 5th the US passes 1.6M cases, or 10x the number of ventilators we have in USA
~April 11th we 9.24M cases, or 10x the total hospital beds we currently have. (3/3)
Here's what happens following those power laws:
~March 18th the US passes 10k cases
~March 26th we pass 100k cases
~April 4th the US passes 1 million cases (2/2)

This pandemic is filling out precisely along Kleiber’s power laws. The last eleven days give a remarkably good fit for linear regression on the log cases (R^2=0.9981), that's good enough to project the exponential. (1/1)
