Roxanne (1987) is one of those films nobody talks about anymore, which is weird because it’s such a clean Cyrano retelling, the humor comes from how sharp the writing is, not cheap jokes, and the romance actually lands without feeling forced.

On January 6, 1994, New Yorkers were introduced to this mysterious thing called a MetroCard. We all carried subway tokens then, and while some people were excited about the new card, they needed lessons in how to use it! The anchor introducing the report is Diana Williams, and the reporter is Tim Fleischer. The MetroCard is now being phased out.

The Graystones just served up a cover of Smooth Operator so silky, Sade herself might need to take notes. Smooth never sounded so good.
