The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the global decision-making body on climate action under the UNFCCC, bringing together 198 parties to negotiate solutions for a sustainable future.
First held in 1995, COP meetings rotate across regions, with the COP28 hosted by the UAE last year, driving forward ambitious initiatives and global partnerships.
As we approach COP29 in Baku, we are continuing to build on the progress made at COP28, implementing the UAE Consensus, ensuring we are strengthening global cooperation to secure lasting climate solutions for generations to come.

@SREnvironment Same here. I bet it is going to be the CoP that will have The Impsvt after CoP 15 gave adoption of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF). @SREnvironment
CoP 16, here we come. Memories from CoP 15 will tell you that you need to prepare emotionally psychologivally for the negotiations happening in Cali, Colombia starting next Month.
My message to young people, civil society & other climate activists:
You're on the right side of history.
You speak for the majority.
Keep it up. Don’t lose hope.
It’s We the Peoples vs. the polluters and the profiteers.
Together, we can win.
Let us all play our part and plant trees for our own sake and survival. Thanks @IsaacKalua .The math is too much now and as they say, it is not mathing. 50,000,000 Kenyans can each plant and nurture trees and we will be the progress and the future we will need.
Is Kenya’s forest cover really growing, or are we being misled by inflated numbers?
We must demand truth and accountability. Deforestation is rampant, yet reports suggest growth. Let’s ensure real conservation, not just data manipulation.
#PlantYourAge is one solution. Let’s act now!

A big day calls for bigger prayers and the biggest celebration. Indigenous women from 23 counties in Kenya, as well as from Tanzania and Uganda, gathered to mark the annual Indigenous Women Conference, a once-a-year event.
