AI companies are purchasing large quantities of used and rare books. Scanning their contents to train models. Then turning the originals to pulp.

The sum of human thought, digitized and shredded.

Every book that gets scanned disappears from the physical world permanently. The knowledge survives only as training data inside a system no one can hold, browse, or resell.

What used to sit on a shelf for centuries now exists as weights in a model that might get deprecated next quarter.

When you meet people with his kind of drive and work ethic, it pushes you harder. (or, if you're weak and ashamed or out of touch with yourself, it will make you angry.)

His intensity can make people uncomfortable.

The truth of what it takes to build empires can be ugly. The full lives of history's heroes can be hard to look at.

But David studies the history of entrepreneurship to improve his own life. Without "shoulds", without advice, and without selling a course. It's not about influencing people, moving public opinion. He has no agenda.

It simply speaks to him.

It IS him.

He loves it, he lives it, and we are lucky to be coming along.

That's why we love him, listen to him, and are loyal to him.
