Turning down your thermostat when yoyrnjot home in the winter and making sure your lights are off when not in a room can conserve tons of energy in your home and show when you get that bill at the end of the month @vahsapes #apesenergy

Most of the lamps and light fixtures in our home have energy efficient light bulbs. These use much less energy than regular light bulbs so it's a great way to preserve energy and reduce the cost of bills in your home! #apesenergy @vahsapes

Waste that we produce at home is called municipal solid waste, mostly made up of paper, food, and other materials. Limit amounts of waste by recycling! Paper, glass, and plastic can all be recycled. Consider getting a recycling bin in your home! #apeswaste @vahsapes

This image shows insects infesting and ruining a corn stalk in a crop. Because of things like this, farmers tend to navigate towards pesticides and other chemicals but they can lead to danger in the environment and can be unhealthy for humans too #apespest @vahsapes

We can use the triangular soil chart to identify different types of soil based on the percentages of sand, loam, and clay. Just follow the lines that correlate to the numbers. It's easy to use and fun! #apessoil @vahsapes
