Last week, CFE‑DM Director Joe Martin spoke at Timor-Leste’s National Defense Institute on ASEAN resilience, disaster preparedness, and civil‑military coordination—strengthening leadership, rapid response, and international cooperation for a more resilient Timor-Leste.
Last week, CFE‑DM hosted a multi‑day Southeast Asia Resilience workshop in Dili, Timor-Leste, bringing together disaster management professionals from government agencies, security forces, and partner organizations to strengthen preparedness, coordination, & national resilience.
Hosted by the Marine Corps Logistics Operations Group, a CFE-DM subject matter expert provided critical guidance during the Advanced Expeditionary Logistics Operations Course (AXLOC) 2-26 at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California.
This month, CFE-DM led a HART-Disasters course for III MEF at Camp Hansen, Okinawa. As the principal foreign disaster response force in the Indo-Pacific region, III MEF will work closely with civilian response organizations to deliver life-saving assistance following a disaster.

After successfully completing the three-month online learning phase, the 22 disaster management professionals from the ASEAN Member States now embark on a transformative two-month on-site programme in Jakarta, strengthening leadership, collaboration, and regional solidarity in disaster management across #ASEAN.
Supported by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), this journey will also include a study visit to Japan, fostering meaningful knowledge exchange and advancing the spirit of #OneASEANOneResponse.
