Shout-out to those scholars of color who wrote the things they should have been able to cite. Often we move our disciplines forward not because we are attempting to create innovative grand ideas, but because correcting our erasure reshapes knowledge itself, it is bigger than us.
My favorite living author. Akata Witch was my first read by Dr. Okorafor and it led me into the beautiful world of #Africanfuturism (and yes, it’s AFRICANfuturism, not Afrofuturism. That was a very early lesson from this author 🖤❤️💚💛💙)
