@SeshNadathur I like @GoodNotesApp, on my iPad Air to scribble on pdfs and for normal note taking. I prefer squared or dotted paper rather than a plain screen too.
I also bought @paperlike screen protector/overlay because I didn't like the feel of Apple pencil on glass.
