@LonesomeWest@Biscuithammer0@willmenaker You are not, and will not ever be, entitled to votes. You don't treat moderates or swing voters this way, and the biggest political obstical to the kind of coalition you are talking about is the open contempt you treat this demographic. If you need us, act like it. If not, stfu.
@NinCulussss Becasue it validates the states role to intervene in the market, and it's categorical for landlords. A glut opens up the door for new individuals to cycle.
I think it's stupid, but I think that's what's a stake. That, or he is just lying about thinking a glut is possible.
@dmesg@GravityAnalyti1@BruneElections Is that medical providers, not just private insurance, in the us takes a disproportionate cut of costs as profit compared to most other nations. Deflating that will require both time real pricing power. Given the discourse on rent control I don't think price controls will do it.
@dmesg@GravityAnalyti1@BruneElections No it really isn't, given the medical billing regime in the us is downstream of the medicaid schedule. The Germans and French did not have to break the back of the private medical providers to build the non-profit basis. We would have to do that. The elephant in the room 1/2
@Ejaculationer@peakcapitolism@noahpasaran And I don't think that "I am too smart and my idea to complex" is the win you think it is.
Deep thinker don't celebrate their singularity, midwits driven by resentment and low self esteem however....
@dmesg@GravityAnalyti1@BruneElections Because the lift of single payers is way, way, way lighter than nationalizing American providers. Recreating the French/German model would require massive inroads against private property, not just finance. And to be fair, plenty of us would like that. Sp seems more pragmatic.
@finnatcon@lobstergodess@adam_tooze Also, do people think the winter war was just like a fucking whim? The finish civil war, multiple cross board operations, a German bad hypernationalist movement the list goes.
Finland was not just peacefully hanging out in the saunas when the invasion came.
@harrisonjaime Let me be clear, you are political hack for equating the party and the people who make it possible.
No DSA member hates dem voters, and are looking forward to embracing them with open arms, as most of used to be/still are dem voters.
We hate you and consultancy class.
@lobstergodess@finnatcon@adam_tooze And m-r happened only *after* it became clear there was no interest in the west for anti-german alliance, and the Soviets had to pivot and try and get some geopolitical ground to stand on. You can claim it as evil or whatever, but it's what all states do.
@lobstergodess@finnatcon@adam_tooze You are moving goalposts and conflating so many different events.
The Czech crisis was avoidable if the west was willing to treat the Soviets as legitimate partners, they refused, and so they appeased Hitler because without the Soviets they had no deterrent. 1/2
