If AI is so good, why does Coca-Cola need to pay someone to be a "Head of Generative-AI" who just says the same things as all the other silly AI dorks on Twitter. Surely that job could be automated easily.

Let me save you the trouble:

Here are all of the recurring arguments in favor of generative AI… all of them bad:

“It’s here and it’s not going anywhere!”

- I’m not against the existence of the technology. I’m opposed to its reckless and unethical abuse.

“You’re old so you hate technology!”

- I love technology. I just don’t love it when technology steals as part of its “selling point.”

“It’s no different from CGI or any other technological advancement!”

- Yes it is. It literally steals content created by actual human beings. It uses, copies and plagiarizes their work. It’s theft. Theft is wrong.

“You’re just mad because it’s taking your job!”

- No. I’m retired. I’m mad because it’s theft and theft makes me mad on behalf of those being robbed. That’s called empathy.

“You’re jealous that it’s better than you!”

- Wrong. No AI will ever be able to do what I do. It can mimic it, but not create the way I can.

“It gives people a chance to be artists that couldn’t be artists before!”

- They’re not artists. They don’t create. They mimic creation. It’s like trying to get a blowup doll pregnant.

“It’s no different than learning and being influenced by other artists!”

- It’s ENTIRELY different from that. “Learning” is an intellectual evolution… using AI to do it for you is just pretending to learn without all of the struggle that actual learning requires.

“It’s not illegal!”

- If murder were legalized it would still be wrong.

“There’s no such thing as owning a creation! Everything belongs to everyone!”

- Interesting how this always comes from people who’ve never created anything. I’ll bet they don’t feel that way about their money.
“Ownership” is a reality. Deal with it. People own things.

“The genie is out of the bottle!”

- Fuck off.
