@trevreidphoto @taylorfq6@WSJ Definitely, but I don't see why this can't be considered a useful way of "handling it" for parents! It's unfortunate that the integration of a mediator into one the apps is necessary, but it sounds very useful. #IS6621
"Blame it on the digital revolution, millennials, social media..." -- I think social media definitely has something to w/ companies becoming more socially active, since SM opened up so many controversial topics (money, politics, religion) up as constant conversation #IS6621#C
The Ted2019 Conference basically had the same theme as our class! Interesting to hear the CEO of Twitter answering questions about the good & the bad of social media & the internet; is this a step towards transparency b/w tech giants & their consumers #IS6621#C
Wow, an NYC institution opening it's doors to Airbnb. With their other collab with the Louvre, Airbnb is gaining some serious clout. Any thoughts on what's next? I'm thinking Cinderella's castle at Disney #IS6621
A building owner at Rockefeller Center plans to convert 10 floors into Airbnb lodgings, allowing guests to gaze on St. Patrick's Cathedral and have a bird's-eye view of the annual Christmas tree lighting https://t.co/2ANimHTJBF
The growing pains of digital advertising...the company I interned at used MailChimp; it took hours to create something we thought would be remotely beneficial, and the benefits were definitely questionable #IS6621
For years, publishers cobbled different tools and services together to help them scale their audiences. Today, many are finding those tools useless https://t.co/RLeX0icEPW
@DanCreedon4@kegallagher18 Is there any type of rewards program for Airbnb? I never use it so I don't know, but seems like it would be really helpful for them if they want to defend against Marriott & others #IS662
@JaclinMurphy I actually think this is great! SS has been an institution in American children's lives for generations, and they have tackled some really important issues. Good to start this message young and have it coming from characters kids trust if we really want to make a change #IS6621
@JesseRosenber14 Would be interested to hear you see this relating to social media and digital business...something about our changing priorities and lack of nostalgia? #IS6621#C
@DililloMelissa My first reaction would be that I would not want a delivery person to be able to open my garage, since it has doors into the rest of my house. But, plenty of people let strangers into their houses to clean or walk dogs, so I'm sure there will be market for this feature! #IS6621
@KimHaysIS6621@WSJ Does anybody else almost constantly have about 30% off Uber at 10-20% Lyft? Constant discounts make me think their prices are already too high, so I can't imagine how this will go over. They'll definitely need to step up their customer service #IS6621
@kgcorrigan@jrmarandola I agree this is such an interesting topic. It's incredible how much of education is dependent on a few key platforms. It's troubling from an psycho/neurological perspective, but also makes me thing who's really curating our ed. system #IS6621
@MasonPeterman@Natalie48037609 Sure, but I donโt think their digital health venture will help the real majority of their customers โ non-cigarette smokers, young adults, etc. I wouldnโt trust them at all to get into digital health unless they start being honest about whoโs really using their product #IS6621
Technology can keep tabs on people with Alzheimerโs disease and other forms of progressive memory loss, providing more free time and needed flexibility. But apps crash, batteries die, systems fail. https://t.co/NZjOifimzQ
@OliviaCrowley96 Oof Apple in healthcare...creeping towards the creepy side of creepy/cool. But, I guess they do already have a lot of health information with the Health app #IS621
@Oneil4131 I feel like Walmart is trying to be what Amazon physical stores would be like...I wonder if Amazon will let this happen. Walmart could be a pretty viable competitor if it uses its physical footprint the right way #IS6621
