@KalebAtlanta I think the distinction is that the opportunity for repentance ends at death. Although we can’t give someone additional time to repent, we can choose not to cut it short.
Sexual immorality isn’t two guys getting married. It’s seven guys treating a young woman like an object instead of a fellow human being made in the image of God.
That's correct. God the Father does not exist because God the Father is not part of the created order and the word "exist" describes things within the created order. God is Being, from which all being is derived. A ceramicist is not made of clay.
The distance between the created order and Being is bridged by the incarnation of Christ.
Your morals come from sitcoms and reddit posts written by depressed ectomorphs on SSRIs and you can only defend them by lying publicly about the content and nature of Christian morality.
Biblical morals come from an old book filled with sIavery, misogyny, genocide, rape paedophilia and homophobia
But the religious criticise the morals of the ungodly
Weird
It's not a great movie as movies go, but it's a movie I recommend to anyone working in analytics at a large company (a niche group). It's a masterclass in how senior management actually operates and the role of analytics in an enterprise setting -
1. Senior management already knows the answer before you give it.
2. Senior management is a performance moreso than a productive role, the end goal of which is to perpetuate itself.
3. Your direct manager judges work, but senior management judges people.
4. Analytics exist to justify decisions that have already been made.
5. Everyone who is paid well eventually deludes themselves into believing they matter because the cognitive dissonance of being paid well to do nothing of value is impossible to sustain longterm. The smarter you are, the better you'll be at it.
6. You win in corporate America either by being the best and telling the truth or by being the meanest and telling lies. There's no other path. If you're the former, you'll never be happy. If you're the latter, you're always evil.
Because women need to belong to men in order for men to actualize as men. Women hate this, but men hate that women hate the thing that makes a man's life worth living, so it evens out.
*Using my big retarded brain to reach back 2000 years to discern the fate of a non-citizen fisherman for whom no archaeological or independent historical accounts exist*
"I've decided he was killed by dinosaurs."
There isn’t any *good* evidence that any of Jesus’ chosen 12 disciples died for believing in the Resurrection. We have good grounds to believe that Peter was killed, but not that he was killed for that reason (and he may have been killed by rival Christians).

I think one of the main problems with younger generations, including my own, is that they're incapable of properly discerning the line between dignity and safety.
If you're a grown adult collecting toys as a means of relieving stress and avoiding the psychological toll of adult responsibilities, you should be smoking cigarettes instead. Are cigarettes healthy? No, of course not. But what you're doing is far worse for you even if you live longer doing it.
“you’re reading your pre-existing belief that same-sex relationships are ethical into Scripture!”
well yeah. everyone does that. and of course we do! should we just let God say something we believe to be abhorrent?
"Having kids" is sort of like "doing drugs" in that the only people telling you not to do it never actually tried it or else they actually did try it and it destroyed their lives.
Everyone else is having a blast.
Education must happen on paper. Paper, pencils, pens, physical textbooks, in-class handwritten written tests, and all formal writing done by hand.
Students are going to use AI no matter what, but we need to build a wall of paper between the classrooms and the agents.
Hey Thomas Aquinas College I know you’re doing a totally different thing where you don’t just teach kids practical skillsets but also educate them on why knowledge matters, where it comes from, and how it is all interconnected, but this person “Emma Camp” on Twitter thinks you should change your curriculum because Aristotle is a philosopher and was never featured in the Magic School Bus books.
“I’m opposed to slavery.”
Don’t buy one.
“I’m opposed to dog fighting.”
Don’t host one.
“I’m opposed to beating your wife.”
Don’t hit yours.
Do you not understand that it is impossible for morality to be a private matter and that we live in a world shaped by the virtues and vices of those around us?
“I’m opposed to abortion.”
Don’t get one.
“I’m opposed to contraception.”
Stupid, but it’s your choice.
“I’m opposed to voluntary euthanasia.”
Don’t sign up for it.
But conservative Catholics don’t want to just live their religion: they want to impose it on the rest of us.
Interviewer: “So what do you hope to gain from this role?
Me: “I intend to become entirely indispensable to your company or program. I will know and do more than anyone. I will solve every variable and meet every need you have.”
Interviewer: “But that sounds like what we would gain. What would you gain?”
Me: “I wasn’t finished. Once I’ve made myself entire indispensable I will leverage it against you. I will show up when I want and leave when I want. Availability will be a real problem for you. I will tell you ‘no’ when you ask me to change or improve things simply by telling you it can’t be done - even if it can. I will do enough to keep you from firing me but far too little to make you great. I will use your ignorance of my processes to inspire fear that works against your interests as I become a wall of anti-cooperative behavior. And it will bring me joy to watch you struggle in vain against me.”
Interviewer: “So you’re like a faerie that offers short-term riches but long-term suffering.”
Me: “Yes. Also, I know those certifications at the bottom of the resume expired but I still know how to do all of that stuff.”
The guards of the concentration camp have tortured and continue to torture the inmates, sure, but that one time when the guards stopped torturing the inmates the inmates turned around and asked one of the worst prison gangs to fight against the guards, so they’re kind of at fault here too. The guards are forced to torture them. There’s just no other option. If the inmates would simply comply, there could be peace between them and their captors.
Maybe folk music about places or people that are deeply loved, performed by the artist who wrote it, along with at least one other person, in an intimate setting with no recording devices present. If instruments are used at all, it would be the simplest of instruments. Perhaps a simple flute, harp, or a guitar.
Metal is actually demonic in how it scars the mind, functioning within the soul like show tunes or Andre Rieu. Once people learn to love metal, they are nearly incapable of loving beautiful music ever again. It’s the sonic equivalent of Millennial gray, anime, or the Pontiac Aztek. Loving the wrong thing can break your mind.
It’s so funny that the most beautiful music of all time (experimental extreme metal) is rendered to normies as very scary & abrasive. The normie mind thinks “there’s no way you can actually enjoy this, it must be some pretense or performative stance here”— that’s what makes their disgust turn into anger with the music.
