@bardozVAL you can also implement a double confirm mode where it must hit both throws (Endgame Gear "GX Safe" mode) so as the switch ages you can completely mitigate double clicking just at the cost of potential latency savings, would be awesome to see both these modes on more mice
@ballsc0nsumer77@bardozVAL@StevenP015 that makes sense, but i guess that means the whole fallacy around saturating polling rate is moreso that it's not about increasing the polling rate itself though it is true that performance gains from higher dpi scale up with higher polling rates as you'll get newer data per poll
@bardozVAL@ballsc0nsumer77@StevenP015 i've never considered SNR when talking about sensors, i guess that implies there could be a definitive best select dpi? also would depend on how strong the implications of poor SNR actually is
@ballsc0nsumer77@bardozVAL@StevenP015 yep, raising dpi to saturate polling only gives you a better polling rate tester result which is NOT indicative you are getting better real world performance
high dpi is very good regardless because of the granularity which is missing at low dpi
@Vic51_@JimmyMalavong yes, it's a tradeoff if you want to get the full smoothness of 720 Hz. also worth mentioning if your native framerate is already around that 360 - 480 fps mark then using frame gen beyond that won't give you a terrible latency penalty
@GoldEcs @CHEATCODEGG I wish they could've valued prior testing experience more, I saw people getting in that had no experience in any kind of beta testing or no audience so there was no way of knowing if they would actually give feedback or not.
@BlurBusters are the days of strobed LCDs dead? seems we only keep getting new OLED models bar Zowie e-TN panels. There's not really anything on the market to replace my XG2431... a 4 year old model at this point.
