@Sephanade Even in the last scene before he lost his powers, he’s totally in defense mode. Actively trying to run away from a fight because he knows his times up and the charade is over. I just don’t think defeating homelander at herogasm would have hit as hard thematically

@Sephanade I think homelander this season was interesting because you start to see cracks in his own persona. He says he wants “power” but he really wants love and adoration. Every episode this season he’s reminded that the love is never coming. In the end he’s broken down into a scared boy

@Sephanade I think we need to think about the psychological state of homelander. The reason he was taken down more “easily” this season was because he was broken. His son disowned him, his dad disowned him and he realized that people don’t live or respect him. They only fear him.
