Great question. Regulatory hell. Prob goes underground and NSA or other agency spins up a team or department to become the watch dog / enforcer. It is certainly a national security concern. Access to compute and compute footprint is really the only gating factor (and a big one).

The true number is, if the project is delivered and has been deployed for (example) 6 months, what is the *measurable* impact to the business? Impact is subjective - is it money generated based on deal flow? Is it money saved by moving an employees labor from a mundane low impact task to a “drive new value for the business” task? The problem is measurable impact is subjective. I don’t know what the answer is tbh.

@dimodzx @toddsaunders We as consultants need to figure out how to price for services. Hourly rate pricing is dead. It should be based on outcomes. At least that’s what I think right now.

You have inadvertently shed some light on a big open question I’m still working through - in a professional services model backed by AI, charging by the hour no longer makes sense. We need to move from hourly based pricing to value delivered pricing but this metric is subjective and so I’m still not certain it’s the way forward.
