Anyway, I think the point of this is: if you are doing something hard, don’t forget to congratulate yourself for the wins along the way. It’s a grind out there, whatever you’re trying to accomplish. And that's all there is, there isn't any more.

Had a short conversation yesterday with @GregHead, and he said something that stuck with me. Paraphrasing, but basically “You have a product and paying customers, something most founders will never achieve. You’re on the board, your only job now is to stay alive and iterate.”

I’ve never had so many crises of confidence and so much insecurity as I have in the last year. I’m embarrassed to tell people what I do because it feels fake. I make so little money compared to what I did "in industry," it can feel like I’m unemployed (just really tired!).

And then you have a second problem: all the unnecessary people you've hired become a drag on the necessary ones. The unproductive people need to seem like they're achieving something, so they'll organize meetings to waste the time of the productive ones.
