I am also extremely grateful for my mentors at NIH (thank you @silviaLGneuro !), UW-Madison, colleagues, and friends who have provided invaluable support during this process.
I’m beyond excited to share that I’ll be starting my PhD in Cognitive Psychology at Yale this fall with support from the NSF GRFP! I feel deeply grateful to be joining this community and to work with @RobbRutledge and the Rutledge lab!
Honored to have received an @NSF graduate research fellowship this morning! Couldn’t have done it without Dr. Ian Gotlib @Stanford & Dr. Katharina Kircanski & Dr. Danny Pine @NIH#NSFGRFP
I am SO excited to share my latest #preprint with collaborators @RobbRutledge, @zebkDotCom, @MartinJChadwick, @summerfieldlab, and others from DeepMind:

Mothers’ acute and prolonged stress predicted their children’s cognitive performance on a working memory and cognitive flexibility task. Quadratic effects indicated worse performance at high and low levels of maternal stress. @bellalarsen_14

With SNE 2024, a wonderful conference-filled summer/fall ends. I had the privilege to attend several meetings, including the NIH Postbaccalaureate Poster Day, where I was awarded an Outstanding Poster Award.
Now, I shift my focus to the PhD application cycle. I’m interested in interactions between affect and decision-making, particularly through ecological approaches, computational modeling, and individual differences.
Excited for the next chapter!
