@alex_shephard Esacpist disaster porn has its place, but it's problematic when it displaces stories of significance (pun intended). Also humanity needs to ask itself why it sent exploration robots to find 5 rich people and nothing for the 500 migrants that just drowned in the Mediterranean.
It's not about hating the rich as much as it's about asking ourselves why the 1000s of migrant drownings have not been given the same care they deserve.
