Lahmeyer ran for Oklahoma's regular 2022 Senate election (there was also the special that now-Sen. Markwayne Mullin won).

Lahmeyer lost the GOP primary to incumbent Sen. James Lankford, 68%-26%. But that run likely helped set him up for a US House bid.
