Look, things are weird and not so great in a lot of ways! But right now I’m sitting in my dr’s office listening to our babies’ heartbeats while reading fanfic and I think my 17 year old self would be proud.
Businesses that pay their workers fairly aren't having trouble finding workers. And if your business can't turn a profit without paying people starvation wages, like the $7.50 an hour federal minimum wage, you shouldn't be in business.
A man died from COVID in a Houston jail cell last week because he couldn't afford the $100 bail. He died for the crime of being poor, awaiting trial for the alleged crime of stealing food.
