Congratulations to @lisa_burry on her PhD graduation from IMS @UofT. Fantastic accomplishment! Honoured to have co-supervised with @wunschcritcare (a true gem). Thanks @sebskill @damon_scales + @KurdyakP @timothygirard
As uncomfortable as it can be to confront a troubling past, it’s better late than never, and doing so can help build a better future.
That’s my hope for the University of Toronto as it reflects on righting a historical wrong.

Still, many schools, hospitals, & faculties in Canada and the US with similar histories of antisemitic practices have NEVER formally acknowledged or apologized for such despicable practices. 3/6 https://t.co/AAmD9leGMK p147 & https://t.co/momSdRPDO5
Antisemitism remains one of the most overlooked & tolerated forms of discrimination. We all have a role to play in combatting hatred against Jews. 6/6

Looking forward to working on this important topic with such a great group. Hopefully, this helps move us closer to better use of our existing extensive health data resources in Canada.@cca_reports@SinaiHealth@UofT_DoM@ICESOntario
There is public misunderstanding regarding management of COVID symptoms plus inappropriate use of healthcare resources including emerg depts. Use of emergency cellphone system for notification & links to resources seems a good option. @daphnagrossman @ASPphysician @NoahIvers
1/ We are calling on @Twitter to address an abusive tweet recently posted to @CMA_Docs President Dr. Katharine Smart’s timeline. The clear intent of the tweet was to intimidate Dr. Smart and her family and interfere with her work during the pandemic.
Fantastic piece by @NoahIvers Our Canadian Healthcare architecture provides a foundation for system-level care. Unfortunately, we often fall short with many missed opportunities. The pandemic highlights this issue most acutely.

A great place for seniors! They’ve even amazingly managed to turn it up a few notches during the pandemic. Lots to learn from their approach. Kol haKavod. @betelcentre
Fantastic staff at @betelcentre supporting @NYFHT docs vaccinating their >80 year old clients. Thanks to all the volunteers who assisted this afternoon to swiftly get 156 seniors their second doses in a culturally sensitive manner.
Big congrats to @kieranlquinn on winning the Governor General’s Gold Medal for academic excellence! 🥇
He is one of only 3 scholars @uoft to receive this prestigious honour for his research into use of #PalliativeCare by people with non-cancer illness.
