🚨Very excited to share the first preprint of my PhD project.
Working with Clay Holroyd, Marcel Brass, and @sebraem, we designed a novel paradigm to investigate dynamic changes in task preparation in a multi-task environment.

We're looking for a new PhD student to come and work with us on the topics of cognitive control and reinforcement learning! Deadline April 26th. For more information, please see https://t.co/SF5MmupJGC. @GhentCCN
Excited to present some preliminary results of fMRI study based on the task transformation paradigm at NeuroCog conference 2023! Check out poster #70 if you have time ;-) https://t.co/EtCyT4rwWO #neurocog
🧵🎉 Our new preprint is up, and we’d love your feedback! We're "Getting Aligned on Representational Alignment" - the degree to which internal representations of different (biological & artificial) information processing systems agree. 🧠🤖🔬🔍 #CognitiveScience#Neuroscience#AI
More can be found in our preprint (congruency effects, DDM), feel free to check it out. We're currently working on the fMRI version and preparing an EEG study. Feedback and discussions are very welcomed!

In summary, our study highlighted humans’ capacity to dynamically modulate task preparation based on their active inference of the environment. Our results also provide evidence for theories of hierarchical control and the trade-off between cognitive flexibility and stability.
#CuttingGardens is an important experiment: An eco-friendly in-person conference distributed across 21 cities on four continents so that most attendees don't need to fly to reach their local “garden”. Looking forward to a week of interesting sessions. https://t.co/C4aoLaAiod
