Traffic on I-270 Eastbound between Riverview Drive and IL 3 will be reduced to one lane beginning Friday, December 13 at 9:00 PM for repairs. All lanes will reopen Monday, December 16 at 5:00 AM. Drivers are urged to reduce speed and obey all signage.

Got private message from a commuter on Facebook that there is a slow down westbound 270 approaching the bridges due to a stalled vehicle

MADISON COUNTY: Repairs to westbound Interstate 270 between Illinois 3 and Riverview Drive in Missouri will require one lane to be closed starting at 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1. One lane will remain open. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4.

A full closure of I-270 Eastbound between IL 3 and Riverview Drive will take place for approximately one hour between 9:00 PM Thursday, October 24 and 5:00 AM Friday, October 25 for the installation of an overhead sign truss. All lanes will reopen when work is complete.

Here's an updated look at the jam westbound 270 drivers face this morning as they head for the Chain of Rocks Bridge. Yesterday's accident involving a fire damaged the pavement, and the right lane of WB 270 remains closed between the Canal and Chain of Rocks bridges.
