State Farm is refusing to renew the policies of long-time California customers and turning its back on California homeowners. State Farm is literally NOT THERE for its long-time California policyholders.

[Chako Pit Bull @chako_org]

California is having a homeowner's insurance crisis. State Farm, Farmers, and Allstate are limiting or refusing new policies/canceling policies. Our state isn't doing much about it. What's homeownership going to look like in California?

NY & NV have introduced legislation to stop home insurance companies from blacklisting dogs based only on breed. It's time for CA to help keep pets in homes and out of shelters by doing the same thing! @KevinMcCartyCA, @alex_lee, @iamcharlsie

[Chako Pit Bull @chako_org]

Kevin McCarty, could you help people who move keep their pets and reduce the number of dogs surrendered to shelters by doing something about insurance breed blacklists?

[Sac Mayor Kevin McCarty @MayorMcCarty]

Two years ago, Chako volunteers found this homeless dog in bad shape. We got her to a vet JUST in the nick of time to save her life. She made a full recovery and found her forever home. We love sharing these happily-ever-after stories! https://t.co/vJZaGwq9sH

Meet the newest member of the CDC: Soli. She's educating people that dogs don't infect humans with COVID-19 and hopes she can take walks in the park and enjoy brunches at dog-friendly restaurants soon. (CDC stands for Centers for Dog Cuddles, of course). Enjoy April Fool's Day!

@FarrellGabriell Ah, Bailey. We feel you on the love of a free burrito, but hope it didn't have onions!

Soli is a Pit Bull we rescued from a shelter about five years ago. She just took a HIGH IN TRIAL award at a California Nosework NW3 trial. She's looking at YOU, @MayorHancock - stop killing dogs because they look a certain way.
